From Manitou you can take the world's highest cog railroad, the Manitou and Pikes Peak Railway, to the top of Pikes Peak at an elevation of 14,110. If heights aren't what you're looking for, but you'd rather explore the depths, then consider exploring beautiful Cave of the Winds in Manitou Springs or scenic Royal Gorge in nearby Canon City. If you wish to not only marvel at God's creation, then also nearby you can witness the incredible, man-made Cliff Dwellings or Miramont Castle.
